Description

Like Berlin and Bethlehem, also famous for their walls, Belfast has become a place where Street Art has flourished, where artists from around the world have come to paint.

Belfast is a city with a unique tradition of murals and while there are lots of tours which showcase the murals of the old Belfast, this tour is something different. This tour is all about the new Belfast and the street art scene which is now flourishing.

Seedhead Arts is at the forefront of the Belfast street art scene and has transformed the Cathedral Quarter with their annual Street Art Festival, Hit the North. Over 30 artists from around the world come to paint in Belfast. The result is a rich and vibrant street art scene in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, and beyond, which would rival most cities in the world.

Your guide will be Adam from Seedhead Arts or local artist Tim AKA Verz, both of whom will be able to give you a unique insight into the meanings, techniques, battles with the establishment and behind the scenes stories about the works and their creators. They'll also lift the lid on Belfast's vibrant subculture and point out the best places for brunch, entertainment and drinks later on.

The walk isn't strenuous or long, there's a lot to see in a small area, and the tour takes between 1 hour 45 minutes and 2 hours.

If you've any doubts, check out our TripAdvisor reviews - we really know this city and its art inside out.
